Overview of HSC Boards and Exam Pattern

India

Pakistan

It is also referred to also as Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) and is often referred to as Intermediate is a well-known exam that is conducted by students in higher Secondary Schools or Intermediate College (Junior college) in Pakistan. Once they have completed Matriculation Grades 9 & 10 they will then attend the intermediate college and finish their grades 11 and 12. After they've completed both grades, they will need to be able to pass the standardized tests for the subject areas they study. The tests are administered by schools at the provincial level in a province-wide scale as well as by FBISE FBISE on a national scale. Students who pass the test receive a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). This stage of learning is also referred to as FSc/FA/ICS. There are numerous streams students can select for their 11th or 12th grade , which include pre-medical engineering humanities (or the social sciences) and commerce as well as computer science. Each stream offers three electives as well with three subjects which must be taken, including English, Urdu, Islamiyat (grade 11 only) and Pakistan Studies (grade 12 only).

Nepal

National Examination Board (Nepal) is the entity responsible in the management of tests for senior schools, which includes the 11th-12th grade Higher Secondary exams (10+2) 11th 12th and 11th grades SEE Exam, along with the 8th grade District Level Exam. After passing the Higher Secondary Exams students will be eligible to go to the university.

In addition to National examinations for the upper secondary, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) GCE Advanced Level qualifications (known as A-level) is also offered by a handful of public and private as well as foreign school. It is believed to be equivalent in value to National Secondary school (10+2) exam.
